Meet the Founders of Sivatau

In the islands, family is everything.  That's why Sivatau is a family business.  We are a husband and wife team backed and supported by wonderful family and friends both in and out of the islands.  Vincent was born and raised in Savai’i and Vaimoso, Samoa, and Lydia, of mixed American Samoan and European decent, grew up in the U.S.  We met and married in Hawaii and have been traveling the world together ever since with our three children, ManuSamoa, Sivatau, and Nafanua.  We love fitness and athletics and we love our Samoan and Polynesian culture.  

 

 

The Sivatau brand was conceived in Jerusalem, Israel while stationed there for Vincent's work in the UN.  As ManuSamoa's reigning #1 fan and a former Rugby player himself, Vincent realized that the majority of his professional rugby playing friends are either sponsored by or wearing athletic brands not connected to the islands.  

This led to a many questions.  Why were we all paying for athletic brands that don't represent our people?  Why not make a brand that Polynesian athletes can be proud of and that gives back to the places we call home?  

The answer to these questions was found in the birth of Sivatau.

We're in the beginning stages of what we know will become a global presence, carried proudly by the hardworking Polynesians around the world.  Our goal is to be the number one selling brand among our people and to give part of that money to various causes in the Pacific that directly affect our home and our loved ones.
